The year Hunmanby won the East Riding cup final at the Circle football ground the then home of HULL CITY FC. (The ground they hope to move back to in 2002) On the day of the final a special train ran from Hunmanby to Hull, finally arriving back in Hunmanby at midnight, the team and supporters (most of the village) were led from the railway station to cross hill in a triumphant march by the Hunmanby Brass Band
